The Process Improvement Analyst, Specialist partners with senior leaders and cross functional teams to lead complex process improvement initiatives focused on driving measurable business outcomes. The role applies Lean and other process improvement methodologies to analyze, design, and improve existing end-to-end workflows, often in alignment with automation or AI-enabled solutions. This role operates in a consulting-style model, working closely with executive sponsors, process subject matter experts, and technology partners to translate business problems into practical, trackable improvements. Responsibilities include assessing and prioritizing initiatives using financially validated approaches, such as productivity gains, cost savings, or risk mitigation. The role also incorporates structured change management practices to support adoption while minimizing operational disruption. The position is an individual contributor role requiring strong stakeholder management, executive presence, and the ability to clearly communicate impact across a wide range of partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and applies process definition, improvement and design methodologies to identify, analyze and improve business processes to improve quality, reduce costs, increase efficiency/productivity, increase customer satisfaction, etc. all through the lens of AI driven improvement.
  • Leverages technical expertise to coach other process improvement crew through initiatives.
  • Concatenates process improvement data and uses key metrics to measure outcomes.
  • Manages process improvement initiatives from inception through implementation ensuring deadlines are met. Defines scope and requirements, establishes timeline, and ensures timely completion of deliverables.
  • Develops documentation to support analysis and improvement including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, and gap/problem analyses.
  • Develops and manages effective working relationships with internal clients (primarily senior leaders) and key stakeholders.
  • Supports the development of training and/or management materials and activities to support new processes and procedures.
  • Coordinates follow-up meetings for project teams using process improvement tools to ensure work is completed and improvements are maintained. Plans and implements quality assurance and compliance processes.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

AI‑Related Responsibilities Include

  • Applying a process‑first lens to identify tasks and decision points where AI, automation, or low/no‑code tools may improve efficiency, quality, or cycle time.
  • Supporting Human AI workflow design, clearly distinguishing where human expertise is essential versus where AI can assist or automate steps.
  • Partnering with technical teams to translate redesigned processes into clear, well‑defined requirements for AI‑enabled MVPs, without owning model development or engineering.
  • Defining and tracking outcome‑based metrics (e.g., time saved, error reduction, adoption, risk mitigation) to evaluate the effectiveness of AI‑enabled process improvements.
  • Supporting adoption, training, and sustainment of AI‑enabled processes in alignment with enterprise governance, risk, and compliance expectations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years’ related work experience with progressive responsibility required.
  • Experience in IT type projects or technical environment preferred
  • Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Process improvement certification (i.e. McKinsey Lean training, Six Sigma certification, DIMAC) required.
  • Ability to lead end-to-end improvement projects, foster stakeholder engagement, and drive sustainable change through structured methodologies and influence.
  • Prior experience in consulting services, professional services, or management consulting environments is highly preferred.

Nice-to-Have

  • Process mapping, stakeholder analysis, change enablement, communication planning, data-driven decision making, and familiarity with enterprise tools for documentation and collaboration.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and interpersonal skills are required to support cross-functional initiatives.

Salary : $90,000 - $140,000
