Responsibilities
- Database Architecture & Design
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available Oracle database solutions.
- Define and enforce database standards, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to align database architecture with business needs.
- Performance Tuning & Optimization
- Monitor and optimize database performance, including SQL tuning, indexing strategies, and resource utilization.
- Use of tools like AWR, ADDM, and OEM for diagnostics
- Security & Compliance
- Implement and maintain database security controls including user access, encryption, and auditing.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., SOX, GDPR).
- Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Guard.
- Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, and Exadata environments.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex database issues.
- Automation & Innovation
- Drive automation of routine DBA tasks using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager, Ansible, or custom scripts.
- Evaluate and implement new Oracle features and technologies (e.g., Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
- Leadership & Mentorship
- Represent the DBA team in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10 years of experience in Oracle database administration, with at least 3 years in a senior or principal role.
- Expert-level knowledge of Oracle 12c/19c/21c, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
- Experience with Oracle code application development framework( APEX, ORDS ) is a plus
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Autonomous Database is a plus.
- Cloud experience with database infrastructure in AWS is desired - MongoDB, Neptune, RedShift is a plus
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., PL/SQL, Shell, Python).
- Development skills (C , C# preferred)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Oracle Certified Master (OCM) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
- OCI Architect or DBA certifications

Salary : $107,500 - $143,000
