Job Description: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Estimator to join our distinguished team. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on high-end residential remodeling projects. In this role, you will oversee the entire estimating process, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness in all project bids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire estimating process, preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for luxury remodeling projects.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine comprehensive costs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals for accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules, ensuring estimates are thorough and aligned with project goals.
- Present cost estimates to senior management and clients, clearly communicating the basis and details of the estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and the finance department to ensure estimates align with project goals, budgets, and timelines, supporting successful project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Over 6 years of experience in high-end residential construction estimating, specifically in luxury remodeling.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, essential for accurate cost estimation.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Sage Estimating and Bluebeam.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.
- In-depth knowledge of the local construction market and pricing trends.
