SUMMARY: The Account Management Representative provides outstanding customer support by maintaining accurate customer account information and delivering timely, effective solutions to customer inquiries and account-related issues. This position partners closely with Sales and internal business teams to manage customer data, analyze large data sets, and support efficient account management processes. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency with Excel, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service while contributing to Hachette Book Group's mission of making it easy for everyone to discover new worlds of ideas, learning, entertainment, and opportunity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create, maintain, and update customer account records to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Review, analyze, and validate customer data, including large Excel spreadsheets, to support account management and data maintenance projects.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely and professional resolution to account-related questions and issues.
- Collaborate with Sales and cross-functional teams to improve account management processes and support business objectives.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve customer account issues using sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities.
- Learn and adapt to new systems, technologies, and business processes to support evolving departmental needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1 years of related work experience in customer service, account management, data management, or a related field.
