Position Summary
Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County is seeking a creative, mission-driven intern to support marketing, fundraising, and community engagement efforts. We are looking for curiosity, initiative, and a genuine interest in using marketing as a tool for storytelling and community impact. This is a project-based internship — not a task list. Projects will be scoped to your skill level, introduced gradually, and adjusted as you grow, with clear goals, ongoing feedback, and mentorship throughout. You will finish with tangible, portfolio-ready work tied to real community impact.
Core Project Areas
1. Content, Storytelling & Community Engagement
• Help develop and schedule social media content focused on homeowners, volunteers, and community impact.
• Assist with or produce short-form video content (Reels, Stories, etc.) based on your experience level — video skills are a plus but not required.
• Help draft and design newsletters and campaign emails using Mailchimp.
• Support outreach communications for volunteers, donors, and community partners.
• Assist with groundbreaking, wall raising, and home dedication ceremonies
• Attend community engagement events on an occasional basis to represent Habitat and support volunteer recruitment
2. Fundraising, Marketing Materials & Strategy
• Help update and improve sponsorship decks, donor presentations, and event materials.
• Assist in creating collateral such as one-pagers, impact reports, and event promotions.
• Contribute ideas and research toward a practical, sustainable marketing plan.
• Help evaluate current marketing efforts, identify gaps or opportunities, and document processes for repeatability and scale.
3. Data, Performance Tracking & Optimization
• Help track basic performance data across social media, email campaigns, and website traffic.
• Assist in building simple reports or dashboards to monitor engagement and growth.
• Share observations and recommendations with the team, and document key metrics and reporting processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills — experience with digital tools is a plus.
• Interest in video production or content creation (Reels, short-form video) preferred but not required.
• Comfortable working with basic data or spreadsheets; curiosity about analytics a plus.
• Self-motivated, organized, and enthusiastic about community service and Habitat's mission.
• Reliable transportation; availability for occasional evenings and weekends for events.
