Duties
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) transactions
- Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales goals
- Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing, and inventory control to optimize product availability
- Assist store manager with employee and volunteer orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills and ensure compliance with store policies
- Coordinate purchasing activities, monitor sales trends, and assist with budgeting to meet financial targets
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience
- Support marketing initiatives and promotional displays to increase store visibility and sales performance
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of retail math, sales management, inventory management, and merchandising techniques
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual proficiency preferred
- Experience with cash handling, and POS systems
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing decisions, and inventory control strategies
- Leadership qualities with a focus on team management, supervising staff shifts, and fostering a collaborative work environment
