What are the responsibilities and job description for the Donation Ambassador position at Habitat for Humanity of Polk County, TX?
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Ambassador to join our team. As an Ambassador, you will represent our company with professionalism and enthusiasm, ensuring exceptional customer experiences. The Donations Ambassador works with the ReStore personnel to pick up/unload donations from local donors and assists with donations in the ReStore.
Duties:
- Communicate effectively with customers in a friendly and helpful manner
- Manage inventory levels and assist with inventory control processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed
- Pick up donations using Habitat for Humanity truck & trailer
- Ensure proper maintenance of Habitat truck & trailer
- Loading/unloading of donations in a safe and efficient manner|- Professional and courteous interaction with donors including utmost care and concern for personal property
- Placing and securing loads as trained
- Work with ReStore Manager and Sales Associates to ensure all donations stay together and do not get separated.
- Test and fix donations to ensure they are in working order and ready for resale.
Qualifications:
- Experience driving a truck & trailer.
- Clean Driving Record
- Experience in inventory management and control preferred
- Experience in minor electronic and furniture repair
- Excellent organizational abilities to maintain a structured work environment
- Capable of lifting heavy objects following safety guidelines
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $9.50 per hour
