What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant - OFFICE SUPPORT position at HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF PITT COUNTY?
We are looking for a responsible Administrative Specialist to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Specialist include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities.
The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office programs is required. Work experience in retail is preferred, and if you also have previous experience as an administrative assistant that would be an added bonus.
Responsibilities could include answer and direct phone calls, organize and schedule appointments, plan meetings and take detailed minutes, write and distribute email, perform sales audit, ring/assist retail customers (as needed), prepare memos, letters, and forms, assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports, update and maintain policies and procedures, act as the point of contact for visitors. Other tasks would be assigned based on experience.
The position would require the following:
Cash handling experience
Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
Working knowledge of office equipment
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
