POSITION TITLE: Vice President of Retail
REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer
PURPOSE: The Vice President of Retail is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for the strategic oversight and operational excellence of four Habitat ReStores across Greater Palm Beach County. This role drives innovation and growth in retail operations, procurement, and donor engagement to maximize revenue, increase donations, and reduce expenses—supporting Habitat’s mission to build homes, communities, and hope.
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG SCREEN AND BACKGROUND CHECK. PREFERRED CLEAN DRIVING RECORD FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Operations
- Develop and execute a comprehensive retail strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee ReStore Director and ensure daily operations of four ReStores are consistent, efficient, and profitable.
- Lead and mentor store managers and retail staff to foster a high-performance sales culture.
Procurement & Inventory Management
- Design and implement strategic procurement plans to ensure consistent inventory flow.
- Cultivate relationships with corporate donors, local businesses, and community partners to increase in-kind donations.
- Monitor inventory levels and turnover to optimize product mix and minimize waste.
Revenue Growth & Expense Management
- Identify and implement initiatives to increase store revenue, including pricing strategies, merchandising, and promotional campaigns.
- Analyze financial reports to track performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and manage budgets for each store, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
Donor Engagement & Community Relations
- Collaborate with the development team to align retail efforts with fundraising and donor engagement strategies.
- Represent Habitat ReStores in the community, building awareness and fostering partnerships.
- Promote volunteerism and community involvement within the ReStores.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Leverage data and market trends to inform decision-making and drive innovation.
- Implement systems and technologies to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate success and guide improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in retail operations, preferably in nonprofit or mission-driven environments.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, procurement, and revenue growth.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and P&L statements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for Habitat for Humanity’s mission and values.
Work Environment:
- Frequent travel between ReStore locations within Palm Beach County.
- Occasional evening and weekend work for events or donor engagement.
Required Skills and Preferred Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and build rapport with team members and donors from diverse backgrounds.
- Comfortable with public speaking and initiating conversations in a variety of settings.
- Bilingual proficiency preferred but not required.

Position is located in Lake Worth, FL. NO RELOCATION packages are being offered.
