The Director of Development leads Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Arkansas’ contributed revenue and community engagement. This role owns the affiliate’s fundraising results across individual, major, corporate, and event giving; the full grant lifecycle from research through application, award, and reporting; organization-wide marketing, communications, and brand; and volunteer recruitment and engagement. As a hands-on leader, the Director personally leads grant writing, major-gift cultivation, and fundraising events while supervising the Marketing Manager and Community Engagement Manager. The Director partners with the Programs team — which surfaces program funding opportunities and manages volunteers on the build site — to convert community goodwill into sustainable support for the mission, operating within the policies and budget established by the Board of Directors.

- Own the affiliate’s contributed-revenue goal; develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan spanning annual campaigns, major and individual gifts, corporate sponsorships, and special events.
- Personally lead major-gift cultivation and stewardship (moves management), building and maintaining a portfolio of high-capacity individual and corporate donors.
- Partner with a grant solutions firm to manage the full lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and securing funding to overseeing grant execution, compliance, and reporting. Collaborate with the Programs team to obtain program content, outcomes, and data needed to support grant applications and stewardship.
- Oversee brand consistency across all organizational communications and marketing materials, ensuring alignment with Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Arkansas brand standards and maintaining a strong, cohesive public presence in the Northwest Arkansas community_ and supervise the Marketing Manager.
- Own volunteer recruitment and engagement: build and steward the volunteer pipeline and convert volunteers into long-term supporters, supervising the Community Outreach Manager. Partner with the Programs team, which supervises and directs volunteers on the build site.
- Plan and execute fundraising and donor-cultivation events end to end.
- Provide timely, meaningful donor recognition and stewardship to strengthen retention and lifetime giving.
- Track and report development metrics — revenue against goal, donor retention, pipeline, grant outcomes, and engagement — and use them to guide strategy.
- Collaborate with the CEO, Leadership Team, Board, and committees to align development goals with organizational strategy and to engage board members in fundraising.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
