Job Title: ReStore Transportation/Material Handling Associate
Job Type: Part-Time

The Transportation/Material Handling Associate at Habitat for Humanity ReStore plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and effective flow donated merchandise into the store.
PLEASE NOTE: This position requires a valid driver's license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Donations: Implement and participate in daily operations procedures for pick-up of donated items.
- Quality Control: Coordinate with ReStore Manager and Warehouse Lead to determine product needs and acceptable donations.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinates pick-up schedules and drives ReStore vehicles as needed.
- Driving: Drive box truck or van to pick up donated or purchased products.
- Cross Train: Cross train and provide support for ReStore Operations as needed; including cashiering, product placement on sales floor, pricing, and other duties as assigned.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and helping them find products.
- Assist Customers: Assist customers in locating and selecting merchandise, offering guidance, and ensuring they have a positive shopping experience.
- Volunteers: Work with, support and encourage volunteers in the performance of their service.
- Loss Prevention: Be vigilant for potential theft or fraud and report any suspicious activities to management.
- Facilities Maintenance: Help clean and maintain ReStore facilities and other duties as assigned. Keep work area swept, orderly, and well organized.
- Adherence to Policies: Follow all Habitat for Humanity ReStore policies and procedures, including customer interactions and safety protocols.
- Other Duties: As assigned by the ReStore Manager and Warehouse Lead Manager.
Requirements:
- Driver’s license and personal auto insurance: clean driving record, legal ability to drive the ReStore truck for donation pickups.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work Saturdays.
- Must submit to and pass a criminal and sexual offender check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds in performance of assigned tasks.
- Able to walk or stand the majority of each shift.
