Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles, including vans and trucks, for the delivery of goods to various locations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of safety.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations governing commercial driving.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience in heavy lifting and warehouse operations is advantageous.
- A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Ability to operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently under various road conditions.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
