Job Summary
Join our team as a Part Time (Flexible Schedule) Restore Associate at Habitat for Humanity Restore in Findlay,, where you will play a vital role in supporting community-driven building projects and sustainable reuse initiatives. This energetic position involves assisting with the donation intake, processing and preparing items for resale or reuse. Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect donated home goods, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- Sort, categorize, and store items such as lumber, fixtures, hardware, and other construction supplies
- Support the setup and organization of the sales floor to optimize customer experience
- Collaborate with team members on loading/unloading donations and customer purchases while adhering to safety protocols
- Position is a physically demanding position which requires regular lifting of 50 pounds.
- Required to observe safety requirements and able to operate a forklift and operate as a passenger in the ReStore Box truck.
Skills
- Excellent customer service and problem solving
- Screen for donation/product usability - and professionally decline donations where applicable
- Train and work with volunteers
- Help maintain organization and cleanliness in the ReStore Donation, Processing, and Sold Areas
- Moving furniture, cabinets, appliances and other items daily
- Operate forklift (certification will be provided)
- Retail experience is a plus
- Follow Restore safety standards and processes
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and good driving record. No CDL is required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, squat, bend
- Must pass Criminal Background Check, Drug Screen and Sexual Offender Check
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
