Position: Licensed Esthetician

Habit Med Spa & Facial Bar | Henrico, VA

Habit Med Spa & Facial Bar is seeking an experienced Licensed Esthetician or Cosmetologist who is passionate about skin health, client education, brow and lash artistry, and delivering an exceptional client experience.

We are looking for someone who is highly skilled in brow services, lash lifts and tints, body waxing, and customized facial treatments. The ideal candidate understands skincare ingredients, professional products, treatment planning, and home-care recommendations and is confident guiding clients toward the services and products that best support their skin goals.

This role reports directly to our Director of Esthetics and works closely with our provider team.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality facial, brow, lash, and body waxing services within your scope of practice
• Provide detailed client consultations and assess skin concerns, goals, and needs
• Create personalized treatment plans and personalized and appropriate home-care recommendation plans
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of skincare ingredients, professional products, contraindications, and aftercare
• Educate clients on their skin, treatments, products, and ongoing maintenance
• Recommend additional services and professional skincare when appropriate
• Perform brow shaping, waxing, tinting, lamination, lash lifts, lash tinting, and body waxing with precision and consistency
• Maintain accurate client records and treatment notes
• Build strong, long-term client relationships through excellent communication and follow-through
• Stay current on industry trends, product knowledge, techniques, and continuing education

Team & Clinic Responsibilities

Habit is a team environment, and every team member contributes to the overall client experience and the clinic's space to include common areas and treatment areas.

All providers are expected to:

• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment rooms
• Properly clean, disinfect, and reset treatment spaces between clients
• Participate in laundry and linen responsibilities
• Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of common areas
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and daily cleaning responsibilities
• Support coworkers when needed and contribute to a positive team environment
• Take ownership of the space rather than waiting to be asked what needs to be done
• Contribute to the overall growth, reputation, and success of Habit

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Esthetician or Cosmetology license required
• 3 years of industry experience preferred
• Strong brow shaping and brow service skills
• Experience with lash lifts and lash tinting
• Experience performing facial and body waxing
• Strong knowledge of skincare products, ingredients, and home-care routines
• Experience creating and following treatment plans and recommending professional skincare treatments and products
• Excellent consultation and client communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and professional
• Comfortable working toward individual and clinic performance goals
• Team-oriented and willing to contribute beyond your treatment room
• Receptive to coaching, feedback, and continued professional development

Compensation

We offer a compensation structure that rewards both consistency and performance.

• $18/hour guaranteed base pay
• Client gratuities
• Service-production bonus when monthly production goals are achieved
• Retail commission
• Approximately $65,000 annual earning potential, depending on schedule, production, gratuities, and retail performance
