What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator – Senior Center position at Habersham County Board of Commissioners?
This position is responsible for providing assistance and coordinating congregate programs.
Major Duties:
• Manages congregate clients and processes new client intake and removal.
- Applies compliance regulations as assigned via Department of Human Services (DHS) and
area agency on aging (AAA) for program funding related to senior meal funding, and
Medicare assistance.
- Maintains accurate files and conducts (60) sixty-day and annual assessments; enters client
information daily, weekly, and monthly into WellSky reporting system.
- Maintains MySeniorCenter specialized software for tracking and statistical data
collection. Acts as program administrator for staff.
- Assists with grants and grant reporting through collecting statistical data related to client
programs.
- Coordinates and implements activities assigned by Director and assists in various audit
related to meal programs.
- Packs and serves meals (2) two times daily; delivers meals when needed. Oversees meal
program to ensure compliance and feedback.
- Prepares Congregate client referrals; assists clients with various resource information
regarding food, house, medical appointments, Medicare, and legal issues.
- Logs daily congregate meals and prepares monthly reports. Maintains proficiency in Excel to
perform daily tasks related to financial reporting using charts, graphs, and embedded
formulas.
- Provides accurate financial reports and statistics to support annual budget preparation.
- Collaborates with other community agencies.
- Plans and monitors monthly food distribution.
- Manages Food Bank data collection and monthly reporting.
- Supports meals on wheels and covers task during absence of MOW analyst.
- Performs other related duties as required for the efficient operations of the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Possession of an Associate's degree in a related field.
- Three years of sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major
duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an
apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position.
