Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and adapting existing recipes to meet nutritional standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other culinary tools.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, utensils, equipment, and storage areas regularly.
• Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication during food preparation and service.
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, adhering to safety standards in production.
• Support catering events or special meal requests with timely preparation and presentation of food items.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within healthcare or food service environments.
• Strong background in food industry roles such as restaurant or catering experience with a focus on meal preparation and food safety management.
• Demonstrated skills in menu planning, recipe adherence, and cooking techniques including slicing, knife skills, and food presentation.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to food handling, sanitation practices, and operating kitchen equipment responsibly.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and other team members.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Experience with cleaning protocols and maintaining a hygienic work environment.
