Summary
Machine Test Engineer 1 Salary Range: $29.00 - $47.00/ Hr.

The Machine Test Engineer 1 has some knowledge of operating a CNC machine, as well as knowledge of complex mechanical systems, and how they interact. They will have a good ability to troubleshoot problems, and provide analysis of machine capability. The Machine Test Engineer will bring a customer perspective to the test process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develops automated test scripts using the proprietary Haas scripting language designed to cover both validation and verification of a new or modified G-code and machine features
Runs test parts designed to validate functionality of Haas machines. Verifies resulting part matches print.
Researches parameter and setting updates by running tests on machines using new software features. May also include interviewing Programmers, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Service, and Applications staff.
Researches and reports all anomalies in bug tracking software.
Releases standard and emergency software versions. Requires validating features and bug fixes in particular software releases, generating and verifying release notes, completing release checklists, and providing information to other departments.

Minimum Qualifications
0-2 years as a Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineer.
Ability to operate a CNC machine.
Ability to program and post G-code using CAD / CAM system.
Strong ability to troubleshoot a problem.
Experience in Microsoft Excel.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in reading and writing technical requirement documentation.
Understanding of source-control system.
Education
Bachelor's Degree BA/BS/BFA/BSA from a four-year college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
