Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Take customer orders with attention to detail, ensuring correct food handling and order accuracy
- Upsell additional items or upgrades to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Prepare and serve ice cream products using appropriate food preparation techniques and operating kitchen equipment safely
- Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace by following food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Manage cash register operations, process cash transactions, and handle cash handling responsibilities responsibly
- Ensure food safety management practices are followed at all times, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Assist in operating kitchen equipment when necessary to support food preparation tasks
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Food service customer order management experience is beneficial for understanding efficient workflow processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining high-quality service
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing register operations
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is a plus
- Experience working in retail sales transactions or café environments will support success in this role
