Duties & Responsibilities
Ha Natural Therapies is a small boutique salon, hyper-focused on our clients’ well-being. You should really love what you do.
As an Independent Contractor in a small boutique salon, this unique LMT position will require the wearing of a few different hats, as the therapist is expected to:
- Greet and service clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Conduct a thorough client intake, and record directly into our digital client management database.
- Create and maintain thorough SOAP notes in our digital client management database.
- Provide individualized massage therapy services and treatments that meet the clients’ needs and expectations
- Initiate, develop and maintain professional and personalized relationships with clients
- Maintain salon appearance and cleanliness
- Promote and sell massage therapy services, memberships and treatments and encourage repeat business
- Participate in company marketing and promotion activities in order to book out own calendar
- Ask for Google and Vagaro reviews, when appropriate
- Manage their own calendar (with help and input from management), and keep daily bookings on schedule
- Do their own check-outs (be your own admin for check-outs/taking payments)
- Change sheets, and do own laundry (sheets, onsite washer/dryer)
Position Requirements
- Current Massage Therapy License for the State of Michigan
- Maintain current liability insurance (i.e. Through AMTA, et al)
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions
- Knowledge of iPad operation, and the ability to learn and navigate the Vagaro scheduling, payment and client management system.
- Fluency in the English language
Preferred Experience (not required)
- Massage experience in a professional environment
- An interest and/or background in psychology will be helpful
- Familiarity with the Vagaro scheduling and point of sale system
- Bi-lingual in Arabic or Spanish is a plus, but not required
The Ideal Candidate
You are a licensed massage therapist in the state of Michigan, compassionate, with a passion for making others feel better, but you also have solid professional boundaries you are not hesitant to enforce, and are comfortable navigating all types of human interaction.
We are not necessarily seeking someone with many years of experience, rather we are looking for an initiative-taking “self-starter” that has a genuine interest and passion for all areas of Naturopathy, illustrated through life choices.
You are open to learning, and receiving specialized training and feedback in order to expand the services you can personally provide.
Compensation
Above market rate commission/percentage. TBD.
