Position Overview:
This entry level maintenance position will assist in preserving the good condition and functionality of facilities and equipment, with a practical mind and attention to detail; while working autonomously and responsibly, observing all health and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor buildings and repair mechanical systems as instructed, to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
- Read manuals to understand equipment and controls
- Disassemble machinery for maintenance or repair, when instructed
- Ensure machines oil and coolant are at specified levels
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
- Assist in the setup of machinery and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
- General maintenance of heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Power washing, cleaning and/or use of chemicals as needed
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength
- High school diploma or equivalent, experience considered in lieu of
