Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shop Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong commitment to workplace safety. This is an onsite, in-person position with a regular shift of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime, weekend, and out-of-town work as required.
Key Responsibilities (Not all-inclusive):
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Utilize various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) to complete assignments.
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal components with precision and accuracy.
- Inspect finished workpieces for quality and compliance with standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety standards.
- Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and OSHA regulations.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing fabricated components when necessary.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends as needed to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fitting/fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metal properties, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to operate welding equipment, hand tools, and measuring instruments.
- Must be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong focus on workplace safety and adherence to safety procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, weekends as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Certification in welding (AWS, ASME, etc.)
- Valid Driver’s License required
