Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the fitness staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team. Help Oversee our internship program.
- Manage scheduling, shift assignments, and daily operations to ensure smooth facility functioning.
- Oversee inventory management of fitness equipment, supplies, and promotional materials to maintain optimal resources.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and health regulations within the fitness environment.
- Foster excellent customer service by engaging with guests, addressing concerns, and promoting a positive atmosphere.
- Coordinate marketing efforts to promote fitness offerings and enhance member engagement through various channels.
- Qualifications
- Proven management experience within the fitness or wellness industry, including supervising teams and managing operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and cultivate a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual proficiency are highly desirable.
- Experience with employee orientation, training & development, and recruiting practices.
- Previous experience in shift management, customer service excellence, and store management is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or a related field. Certification from a recognized fitness organization such as ACE, NASM, or ACSM.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fitness management or a related leadership role. Strong knowledge of fitness program development, health and safety standards, and facility operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational skills complemented by proficiency in administrative tasks such as payroll, bookkeeping, and record keeping.
