What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Technician position at H2scan Corporation?
Job Description:
Position requires knowledge of PCB handling and burn-in, mechanical assembly, testing, etc. Position requires performing manual solder and solder rework process for PCB with IPC or miliary standard. The assembler must be familiar with standard electronic assembly concepts and practices. Ability to perform and follow assembly drawings and manufacturing procedures within an electronics manufacturing environment required. Strong verbal, written, interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute within a team are required.
Responsibilities:
· Perform PCB test and assembly tasks
· Perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as PCB burn-in test, subassembly, mechanical assembly, assembly test activities
· Ability to perform manual soldering and solder rework for PCB with IPC or military standard specifications
· Maintain quality and quantity standards and have the ability to maintain a record of the assembly in traveler tracking logs
· Work closely with engineering team to perform prototype build and provide feedback to engineering team or supervisor for any deviation found during evaluation
· Work with engineering as needed to clarify design documentation, parts lists, and drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in the printed circuit board industry
· Previous knowledge of mechanical, thru-hole, surface mount, electronic component identification and performing reworks on printed circuit boards a must
· Ability to read and interpret quality control specifications, IPC certification, blue-print drawings, and engineering specifications
· Ability to work at a fast pace and perform a variety of functions with high quality results
· Ability to lift 10-20 lbs occasionally with reasonable accommodation
· Availability to work between 7am – 4pm M-F, occasional Saturday work, flexibility to periodically shift scheduled start time
· Comfortable with ERP/MRP system reports, work orders, and willingness to learn as needed
· High School diploma or equivalent and the ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English and to carefully and consistently follow procedures
· Dependable attendance
· Teamwork, cooperation with leadership, and a positive attitude
