Duties
- Safely operate box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmission along assigned delivery routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load, secure, and unload packages using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary, ensuring items are handled with care.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and addressing delivery needs promptly.
- Verify delivery manifests, complete route logs, and document any discrepancies or issues encountered during deliveries.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks efficiently while maintaining proper safety protocols to prevent injury.
- Plan optimal routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery schedules while adjusting for traffic or unforeseen delays.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle; report any mechanical issues immediately to ensure safety.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must have a Real-ID
- Must be able to access local military bases
- Able to lift 45 lb. water bottles repetitively through day.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Must have a friendly attitude
- Must be on time and reliable
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving responsibilities involving box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus, especially familiarity with load & unload procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely; comfort working with equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous.
