What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Treatment Delivery Driver position at H2O Equipment Company, INC?
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Delivery Driver to join our water treatment team.
This is a full-time, hands-on position that combines local driving, customer service, equipment delivery and light mechanical work. The primary responsibility is driving a box truck to customers’ homes to exchange stainless steel water softener and acid neutralizer tanks. The position also includes working in our shop to prepare tanks for service and occasionally assisting our service technicians in the field.
Responsibilities
- Drive a box truck on a local delivery and service route
- Deliver and exchange stainless steel water softener and acid neutralizer tanks at customers’ homes
- Remove fittings and connections from existing tanks
- Remove used tanks and replace them with clean, serviced tanks
- Reconnect fittings and ensure the new tank is properly installed
- Load and unload tanks and equipment from the truck
- Clean, brine and prepare water softener tanks at our shop
- Keep the truck, equipment and work areas clean and organized
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude while working in customers’ homes
- Occasionally accompany service technicians to assist with water treatment installations, maintenance and other field work
We’re Looking for Someone Who
- Has a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Is dependable and shows up on time
- Is comfortable driving a box truck
- Is mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic hand tools
- Is able to perform physical work, including regularly moving and handling water treatment tanks and equipment
- Is comfortable working in basements, utility rooms and other typical residential service locations
- Is able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Is willing to learn and follow established procedures
- Can work independently while also being a good member of the team
- Communicates professionally with customers and coworkers
This is a good opportunity for someone who likes a mix of driving and hands-on work and wants to learn more about the water treatment trade. This does NOT require a specialized drivers license.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
