Full-time Contract Position – Englewood, CO

The Position
The Structural Technician III plays a critical role in the assembly, modification, and inspection of aerospace structures and components. Working hands-on with technical blueprints, jigs, and precision measuring tools, this position ensures the structural integrity, alignment, and quality of aircraft assemblies. The role requires advanced knowledge of assembly techniques, fastener installation, and structural repair, along with the ability to work safely in an active production environment while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assemble, fit, and align major structures and minor components using technical drawings, jigs, templates, and fixtures
  • Perform structural operations such as riveting, drilling, reaming, sawing, trimming, and burring with precision
  • Measure and verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Modify, repair, and incorporate changes into incomplete or completed assemblies as required
  • Inspect and verify work quality following established procedures and statistical process controls
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards in a physically demanding environment
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order to support efficient production
  • Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to resolve assembly issues and implement improvements
  • Operate safely in environments with exposure to loud noises, varying temperatures, and hazardous materials

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • No immediate direct reports

Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience
  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Must have/own tools in good working order
  • Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
  • Ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch
  • Progressive experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal, as applicable
  • Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks

Preferred Experience
  • Ability to travel
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, NASA or US Military
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required

Work Environment
  • On-site position located in Englewood, Colorado
  • This is a 1-year contract

Compensation
  • Position offers an hourly W2 Rate between $35 - $40, with additional benefits
Requirements
  • Because this client is a Federal Government Contractor performing services for the DoD, US Air Force, NASA and others, they do require US, Non-Dual Citizenship
