Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-time Welder to join our dynamic team. This role involves working in our shop, utilizing a variety of welding techniques to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal (aluminum and stainless steal) components. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for quality craftsmanship. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all welding projects meet safety standards and technical specifications, contributing to the successful completion of diverse construction and manufacturing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations using a MIG (Metal Inert Gas) Welder
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately execute welding tasks
- Measure and mark materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure proper fit-up and alignments
- Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, welding, grinding, and assembling parts according to specifications
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, OSHA regulations, AWS (American Welding Society) standards, ASME codes & standards during all operations
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and quality control measures taken
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with a focus on metal welding and assembly
- Proficiency in MIG welding
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, schematics, and measuring instruments effectively
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding environments and construction sites; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining high-quality standards
