JOB DESCRIPTION: Lab/Wet Process Supervisor
General Summary: The Lab/Wet Process Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing the chemistry of wet-process and waste treatment as well as for all of the chemical and waste analysis for the site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage Lab and Waste Treatment functions of site
· Evaluate data from lab analysis and make decisions based on this information.
· Participate in continuous improvement of current processes
· Set up and cut cross sections and interpret findings
· Provide direction and work with employees to develop their skills and abilities
· Monitor production processes and quality.
· Perform maintenance, chemical make-ups and chemical additions on wet process lines.
· Generate SPC data and charts for QC.
· Generate monthly water report for City of St. Pete.
· Maintain and assist in writing procedures.
· Calibrate equipment.
· Do inventory counts chemicals to send to purchasing.
· Prepare lab standards and solutions.
· Provide monthly samples sent to vendors.
COMPETENCIES:

- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Good organizational skills
- Quality Management System (QMS) experience and understanding.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry
· Experience working in a manufacturing environment
· At least 3 years Management experience
· 5 years experience working in a Lab daily production processes and ensure adherence to quality control standards.
- Implement and maintain CGMP practices throughout the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production workflows.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Train and mentor staff on best practices and safety protocols.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Prepare reports on production metrics for management review.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (mandatory).
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes and CGMP regulations (mandatory).
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail (preferred).
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and data collection methods (preferred).
