What are the responsibilities and job description for the Street Light Technician/Groundman position at H & S Lighting & Electrical Contracting?
As a Street Light Technician/Groundman, you will be a vital member of our team responsible for installing streetlights. The position will require the use of hand tools, power tools, digging trenches, installation of conduit and electrical cables and building of light pole foundations. Qualified candidates must have the ability to pay close attention to detail, work within the construction industry around open trenches and heavy equipment, follow directions, comply with company requirements, and be dependable and trustworthy. Previous experience in the construction or electrical industry is preferred but not required.
Required:
- You must be able to pass a drug test
- You must be able to work outside in all weather conditions. (Heat and cold)
- You must have a valid driver's licence and be capable of driving a truck with a utility trailer.
- Must have some type of construction knowledge. Concrete finishing is a plus.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
- Must be able to travel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
