The H&S Family of Bakeries are a network of 10 bakeries and multiple distribution centers along the East Coast, all committed to one thing : producing the best quality bread products possible. H&S Family of Bakeries includes Northeast Foods, H&S Bakery and Schmidt Baking Co. Together, our baked goods can be found in a wide range of establishments, from fast food and quick-service restaurants to cafeterias, hospitals, grocery stores and universities.

We are looking for Route Sales Supervisor to lead the execution of Foodservice / DSD route sales in the marketplace and providing oversight and direction in the execution of all company and customer initiatives. Success will be defined by sales growth, superior freshness, quality and profitable growth through continuous improvement.

Primary Job Duties :

• Develop strategic plans to deliver on sales targets to grow overall business within existing accounts and pursue business relationships with expansion customers to generate new business.
• Engage salespeople in all facets of planning route sales activity, including order management, daily distribution, merchandising, promotional activity, and holiday planning in order to meet the customers in store expectations.
• Hold salespeople accountable for meeting key performance targets; execute procedures and programs to increase team productivity, team effectiveness, & quality of work
• Engage and develop core competencies in salespeople through training, coaching, mentoring, and consistent performance feedback to grow overall business.
• Utilize sales data to help drive effective decisions with the salesperson as well as drive brand growth with customers through the acquisition of new space and displays.
• Establish effective customer relationships to initiate and maximize sales; ensure client retention by exceeding expectations with new and current customers.
• Execute on all growth opportunities to grow market share on strategic brands through the execution of incremental displays.
• Foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement to include the development of self, others, and work processes.
• Responsible for recruiting salespeople and supporting route splits and route productivity initiatives.
• Responsible for operating open distribution territories and providing continuity of service to customers.
• Maintain accounts receivable, payment due balances, and cash collection policy.
• Seek potential new business and perform special projects and assignments as requested by Leadership.
• Manage equipment inventories and store reset events.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience : Previous sales and management experience.

Education : A high school diploma or GED.
