H&P is representing a leading NY based $200Bn Investment Platform, with one of the worlds leading alternative investment firms. This is a rare chance to join their Direct Lending team supporting private credit investments across sectors such as healthcare, business services, software and industrials. The team is New York/San Fran based and has grown significantly in recent years, continuing to scale as it deploys capital from new and existing strategies.
Position Overview
They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join their dynamic team. As an Associate, you will play a key role in evaluating, executing, and monitoring private credit investments. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with senior professionals and gain exposure to all aspects of the investment process, from deal sourcing and due diligence to portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Analysis & Due Diligence: Assist in evaluating potential private credit opportunities, conducting in-depth financial and operational analysis, and preparing investment memoranda.
- Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain complex financial models to support investment decisions, including cash flow projections, LBO models, and sensitivity analyses.
- Deal Execution: Collaborate with senior team members in structuring and negotiating investment terms, including drafting term sheets and legal documentation.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Support ongoing monitoring of portfolio investments, tracking performance, and providing regular updates on financial performance and compliance with covenants.
- Industry Research: Conduct market and industry research to identify emerging trends, investment opportunities, and potential risks.
Ideal Candidate:
- 1 - 4 years of Direct Lending experience
- 3.6 GPA
