We're looking for a Quality Manager who sees opportunities where others see problems. This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who enjoys improving systems, solving complex challenges, and influencing change across an organization. You'll have the autonomy to enhance our ISO 9001 Quality Management System, lead a team of two Quality Technicians, and partner with leaders throughout the business to elevate quality at every stage of the manufacturing process.
Success in this role requires more than technical expertise. We're looking for someone who can take a customer concern, uncover the true root cause, and tell the customer's story in a way that drives meaningful action. What You'll Do
- Own and continually improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring ongoing compliance and successful certification audits
- Lead the internal audit program and oversee corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve issues permanently
- Serve as the primary quality contact for customer concerns, leading root cause investigations and driving sustainable corrective actions
- Develop quality policies, control plans, inspection strategies, and key performance indicators that reduce defects, customer complaints, and the cost of poor quality
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Production to improve processes, support new product introductions, and ensure quality is built into every step
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, PDCA, and other quality tools
- Lead, coach, and develop one Quality Technicians while fostering a culture where quality is everyone's responsibility
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Five or more years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with manufacturing assembly processes; metals experience is strongly preferred
- Proven experience managing ISO 9001 systems, internal audits, and quality compliance
- Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and customer communication skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and translate quality issues into actionable business improvements
- CQE/CQI certification and Lean or Six Sigma experience are a plus
