· H. Nagel & Son Co. aka Brighton Mills is seeking a Dry Blend Packer - Mixer. This individual will work at the West Harrison Indiana facility. 3pm - 11pm All new employees will go thru a temporary employment service for 520 hours (3-Months) before being hired.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Mixer / Packer will be responsible for the following:

· Continuously and repeatedly load packaging and raw materials.

· Pack off finished product, perform checks on critical timing of equipment, prepare equipment half an hour prior to shift start.

· Make product change-over, package size changes, minor repairs on equipment,

· Understand scheduling and can adequately perform in the absence of the crew leader

· Be responsible for quality and quantity of production on a daily basis.

· Understand and practice loss control of raw and packaging materials

· Follow detailed procedures and complete paperwork accurately to ensure safe, consistent, and quality product,

· Work with teams to identify process issues and improvement opportunities by actively participating in continuous improvement activities

· Actively promote safety and identify unsafe actions and conditions.

· Perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be able to lift 25 & 50 pounds frequently and repeatedly.

· Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of the use of proper tools.

· Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

· Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

· Must be able to solve practical problems.

· Ability to perform accurate data entry.

· Experience following detailed procedures and completing accurate paperwork.

· Experience adhering to and following company, plant, regulatory, and customer standards.
