What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandiser Specialist (Bilingual KOR/ENG) position at H MART - Corp?
Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Review weekly sale performance of stores
- Suggest to order and restock missing/shortage items
- Suggest markdowns, price changes, or clear outs on slow moving items
- Suggest sale items and main display items to maximize sales of various categories
- Promote new items suggested by SCM team
- Maintain store quality results by enforcing HQ standards
- Rotate sale items by best-selling items to provide fresh atmosphere
- Liaise between store and HQ with ad hoc issues
- Conduct store quality to fulfill customer's need (Better condition, More Verities, Reasonable Price)
- Support store managers with store analysis on operations and efficiency
- Act as a communicator between Stores and the HQ by addressing customer issues
- Conduct store analysis to better consult store managers on the store's fortes and weaknesses
- Review marketability of new items suggested by SCM team and provide feedback to improve SCM buyer's purchasing decisions
- Review and Feedback on special events and promotions
- Trend Analysis and identify areas of improvement
- Support and participate in assigned continuous improvement projects
Qualification / Skills:
- Associate degree and above preferred
- Communication skill in Korean & English
- Strong understanding of grocery retail operations
- Understanding of Supply Chain Management and Logistics preferred
- 3 years of work experience in Grocery is preferred or as a Merchandiser of Sales representative
