Job Summary:
The Civil Engineer is primarily responsible for the development of civil design including site layout, grading and drainage plans for a variety of clients through a design/build process as relates to distribution, manufacturing, and heavy industrial projects.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Site layout and grading plan design.
- Stormwater management plan development. Experience in Hydrocad preferred but not necessary.
- Erosion and sediment control plan design.
- Preparation of SWPPP for NPDES permitting.
- Produce civil construction specifications.
- Familiarity with rail design.
- Familiarity with USACE permitting.
Civil Engineer Requirements & Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or General engineering with Civil concentration
- 5 years experience working as a Civil engineer.
- Self-sufficiency in providing complete and total design with support as needed.
- Experience in the Design/Build industry beneficial but not required.
- Registered Professional Engineer.
- Experience with Civil3D drawing production.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Good time management skills.
- Motivation to succeed, seek excellence, and continually improve.
- Willing to travel to construction sites for inspections, punch lists, or meetings. Occasional multi -day travel will be required.
- Communicate in person, on the phone, and over e-mail with clients, vendors, contractors, and others as necessary.
