Summary
We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager for our Clinical Research Unit:The Clinical Research Unit (CRU) Assistant Patient Care Manager is responsible for overseeing the clinical care
performed by assigned nursing staff; the day-to-day supervision of nursing operations; ensuring patient-family
centered, quality care for patients enrolled in clinical trial research protocols; and supports protocol data
integrity by assuring compliance with protocol required activities.
Mentors, serves as a resource, and providessupport for staff and faculty on research and nursing issues while
meeting the departmental, nursing, andorganizational goals. Participates in development and execution of
training programs and quality improvement systems, including the development of SOPs, to assure high quality
Clinical Research throughout the Institution.
Education:
Required: Graduate of state accredited nursing program. B.S.N. OR an
Associate's degree with BSN in process, to be completed within University program guidelines, not to exceed four (4) years from date of hire.
Preferred: Masters in Nursing
Licensure/Certification:
a) Current Florida RN license
b) ACLS designation required for BMT, SCU, and Telemetry inpatient units
c) Certification in area of specialty, required.
d) Current provider designation in BCLS
Training/Experience:
a) Minimum three (3) years nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
b) Demonstrated leadership experience preferred
c) Oncology experience preferred
Additional Skills:
Strong computer skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Advanced nursing skills; IV therapy, intervention with emergencies, teaching skills. Demonstrated
competency in in-patient and out-patient best practices including patient care, technology, and
processes
