Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including layout and material staging
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, and finishing
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support accurate execution of projects
- Perform concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, and formwork construction to create durable structures
- Install rebar, metal studs, framing components, and perform masonry work to ensure structural integrity
- Execute tasks related to roofing, stucco application, plastering, caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, and trim carpentry
- Follow all safety protocols and workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a similar labor-intensive environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and construction estimating is advantageous
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and understanding construction plans is essential
- Hands-on experience with concrete mixers, formwork construction, rebar installation, concrete pumping, and finishing techniques is desirable
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts or other heavy equipment is a plus
- Strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols is required
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
