Water Truck Driver/Laborer

Overview

Hilltop Quarry, a division of The H&K Group, Inc.  is searching for a Water Truck Driver/Laborer to join their team! The driver operates water truck to transport and dump water for dust suppression and aids in other responsibilities to support Quarry production. The ideal candidate is safety focused, pays attention to detail, and excels at teamwork. A CDL license is not required.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Performs all work according to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Performs pre and post trip of truck every day and fills out daily inspection sheets
• Drives safely and efficiently to achieve production goals
• Does regular inspection of roadways to determine dust suppression needs
• Performs routine maintenance on truck such as lubrication and cleaning
• Water roads for dust control
• Water shots to control dust
• General clean-up around the plant
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR related experience and/or training
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered
• Driver’s license
• Clean Driving record
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Mathematical skills 
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

 Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• Applicable safety certifications from OSHA, MSHA, etc.  
• Previous experience in surface mining, construction materials, heavy civil and highway construction
