Summary:
We are seeking a detail oriented and organized Accounts Receivables Assistant to support our accounting and collections functions. This role works closely with the Collections Manager and accounting team to ensure timely collection of receivables, accurate recordkeeping, and effective communication across departments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Collections Manager with daily collection activities
- Accurately document all collection efforts in the receivables system
- Collaborate with sales departments to gather and verify supporting documentation
- Distribute customer statements and invoice copies as needed
- Identify and escalate high risk accounts to the Collections Manager and CFO
- Support the accounting team with proper allocation and posting of incoming payments
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in accounts receivable, collections, or accounting support is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with accounting software
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion
