Key Responsibilities
- Partner with field teams to proactively integrate safety into jobsite planning and execution
- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans documentation and reporting requirements
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections and ensure corrective actions are identified, communicated, and resolved in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage OSHA inspections, insurance audits, and regulatory visits, including preparation, response, and follow-up
- Facilitate ongoing safety training, including leading and coaching others to deliver effective safety meetings
- Lead investigations of incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Analyze safety trends, behaviors, and KPIs to identify risks and recommend improvements
- Promote a culture of safety ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across all job sites
- Act as a trusted advisor to project leadership on safety risks, mitigation strategies, and best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams and trade partners to align on safety expectations and execution
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Safety, or related field preferred; or equivalent field or military experience
- 5 years of construction safety, or field leadership experience, implementing safety programs
- Strong knowledge of construction safety practices, hazard recognition, and risk mitigation
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence field teams and present to large groups
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Experience leading incident investigations and performing root cause analysis
- Ability to operate independently while partnering cross-functionally
- Commitment to developing a proactive, learning-focused safety culture across teams and trade partners
- Proficiency in basic software systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- OSHA 30-hour certification required
- CPR and First Aid certification required
- BCSP certification preferred (CHST, STS, or equivalent)
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to walk across various terrains and conditions
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours or weekends as needed and maintain consistent onsite presence
