SUMMARY
Works closely with the Project Manager on costing, scheduling and subcontract relations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Writes scope for the Project Manager to review.
Writes major Purchase Order and subcontract agreement for the Project Manager to review.
Responsible for project schedule update.
Establishes project budget for the Project Manager to review.
Conducts scope review with subcontractors under the Project Manager supervision.
Conducts meetings in the absence of the Project Manager and addresses issues on his behalf.
Keeps the superintendent informed of issues which relates to and affects field work.
Communicates with architects via RFIs, telephone conversations, sketches and letters, and forwards information to superintendent.
Reviews and becomes familiar with all drawings.
Ensures that submitals from subcontractors are reviewed, reviews and forwards to architects, and that they are returned to the subcontractors in a timely manner.
Compiles the submittal register.
Tracks and costs all changes and extras to the original scope of work for the Project Manager's approval.
Writes change orders to subcontractors and PCO's to owner for Project Manager's approval.
Completes any other assignments as requested by the Project Manager.
Prepares monthly report for review.
Shall perform work in a safe manner and actively encourage others to comply with safety rules and regulations.
WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attends and produces meeting minutes for O/A/C and subcontractor coordination meetings.
Tracks material deliveries and production to ensure timely receipts.
Updates sets of drawings, RFI log, submittal log and budget as required.
Reviews construction progress and become familiar with ongoing work by walking the job.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
