We are searching for a dedicated and skilled Saute Cook to join the culinary team at our new lounge in the East Village. This is a unique opportunity to help establish a new kitchen and create a buzz in one of NYC's most vibrant neighborhoods.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Saute Cook to master our menu, focusing on high-quality execution. You will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of preparation, cooking, and presentation during service in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently prepare and cook menu items.
- Manage a busy station during peak hours, ensuring all plates meet presentation and quality standards.
- Assist with daily mise en place and food prep as needed.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in the work area (DOH compliance).
- Work collaboratively with the entire kitchen and front-of-house team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Saute Cook, Grill Cook, Line Cook, or in a similar culinary role.
- Strong knowledge of sauteing techniques, temperature control, and food safety protocols.
- Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment and handle pressure with grace.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-player mentality.
- Spanish speaking is a significant plus! (Se valora mucho la habilidad de hablar español.)
- Must have availability for evening, late-night, and weekend shifts, which are typical for a lounge environment.
Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time):
