What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at H-E Parts International?
SUMMARY:
Keep the premises of building, internal and or external in clean and orderly condition.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pick-up, sweep & mop assigned areas.
Empty trash cans in assigned areas.
Empty steel bins and/or scrap bins in assigned areas.
Wipe down & clean cabinets, desk, etc, in assigned areas.
Wipe down & clean machinery in assigned areas.
Keep maintenance closet picked up & in proper order.
Make sure all dirty mop heads are put in proper location.
Report any malfunction or problems with the rider & walk behind floor scrubbers to supervisor.
Keep all shop corners picked-up & cleaned.
Keep area behind all shop machines picked-up & cleaned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, recognition, care and use of all equipment pertinent to the job requirements.
Begin and complete a project with a minimum of supervision.
Flexibility to change routines.
Must have good attendance and be dependable.
Be at your workstation ready to work at assigned time.
Be a team player, but also be able to work alone.
Must have consideration for all team members.
Be a willing learner.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Must be able to pass background/drug tests.
