Job Summary: As a Maintenance Team Leader I, you'll ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our manufacturing, warehouse, and transportation assets, and lead daily activities related to maintenance and repairs.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
- Maintenance Operations:
- Ensures the reliability, efficiency and safety of the industrial warehouse, transportation, and manufacturing assets and related support areas
- Leads daily activities for industrial facilities-related maintenance and repairs
- Collaborates with customers, engineers, and contractors in the design / construction of new industrial facilities; helps to establish standard specifications
- Stays current on / researches new technologies related to the business
- Maintains knowledge of / complies with current regulatory requirements
- Management:
- Supports strategic goals of Facility Services; makes daily tactical decisions to substantially impact financial and reliability status of facilities
- Leads multi-skilled technicians who maintain electrical systems, AC systems, water / sewer systems, building and roofing, pavement and grounds, dock doors, levelers, seals and restraints, and lighting and fire suppression systems
- Develops / schedules / leads assigned Partners
- Creates a team environment; fosters training / development to ensure Partners provide quality repairs and superior service
Work Experience
Qualifications & Key Requirements:
- 5 years Experience as a high-level technician plus 3 years of experience as a foreman or maintenance knowledge/awareness - Preferred
- Written / verbal communication skills - Required
- PC skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word) and a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) (EAM preferred) - Preferred
- AAS degree 3 years of experience OR 5 years of experience as a high-level technician plus 3 years of experience as a foreman - Required
- Valid driver's license; a clean driving record - Required
- Travel by car or plane with overnight stays
- Occasionally lift 20 lbs or more; lift and carry 50 lbs
- Work flexible and/or rotating schedules, including overnights, weekends, and holidays
- Walk long distances; climb ladders / stairs to gain rooftop access; stand, stoop, crawl; work in hot and cold spaces; maneuver around equipment
- Work around industrial facilities, including food, manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, refrigerated
- Respond to emergency situations any time of day or night
