Responsibilities Job Summary: As a Meat Cutter, you'll help provide the freshest quality products for the customer through a well-stocked and well-maintained department while providing great customer service by performing all job responsibilities with a sense of ownership and team approach. You'll continuously cut, prepare, tray, and merchandise fresh product on a daily basis, while under the supervision of a Meat Cutter I. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions: Production: Cuts, trims, trays, scrapes meat for display, according to company standards, and while partnered with a Meat Cutter I Fill products; chickens, chubs, seasoned meats as needed Operates grinder, saw, knife sharpener, tenderizer, slicer Weighs / wraps / labels product packages for sale Rotates product in meat cooler, sales floor; ensures proper storage practices Consistently communicates to ensure the highest quality and freshness standards are met Practices safety awareness; safely performs meat cutting duties at all times Assists in technical areas as needed Customer Service: Provides great customer service by cutting meat products and labeling appropriately Answers customers questions regarding products and assists them with selections Food Safety / Sanitation: Cleans and sanitizes display cases; properly operates / maintains equipment Complies with department / store operating procedures and federal / state regulations The responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position.
