Full Job Description

Qualifications

· Experience in tool making, grinding and machining to strict tolerances (2-5 years of experience)

· Strong mechanical knowledge and attention to detail

· Considerable knowledge of tooling practices and applications

· Produce/Re-Grind HSS Step-Drill & Step-Reamers on Radial Relief Tool Grinder

· Produce/Re-Grind HSS Recess Tools using Spin Fixtures on Surface Grinders

· Re-Grind Carbide Form & Shave Inserts on Surface Grinders (produced on our EDM)

· Operate Manual Lathe, Mills to produce/alter miscellaneous turned and milled components

· Experience managing tooling/supplies crib for machining/manufacturing operation

· Knowledge of screw machine operations is a plus

Duties

• Produce, modify, re-grind various HSS precision cutting tools (drills, step-drills, reamers, step-reamers, recesses, form & shave inserts
• Maintain, reorder and stock job drawers with necessary tooling to support production requirements
• Complete and tear down set up carts for production tooling and machine equipment needed per the production scheduled
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery
• Manage tooling scrap for recycling
• Source non-custom tooling as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment

Skills and Experience

• Excellent machining skills that focus on safety, efficiency and quality driven results
• Able to read and interpret complex blueprints
• Able to use precision measuring instruments to ensure precise tolerances are met
• Excellent Attendance.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable shifting priorities as needed
• Ability to stand for 10 hours per day.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Strong math skills.
• Good communication skills

Education

· High School or equivalent (preferred)

All new hires must be able to pass an illegal drug screening, physical and background check to be eligible for employment.

Compensation and Hours

Pay: $23.00/hr. or higher based on experience

Pay frequency: Weekly

Hours: Monday – Thursday from 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with possible over-time as required
