Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and overhaul mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot issues precisely and execute repairs correctly the first time.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards before returning to customers.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, electrical systems, suspension, brakes, and transmissions.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics equipment and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology, auto body repair basics, auto estimating procedures, and GM vehicle models is advantageous.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools required for daily tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused approach to vehicle maintenance.
- Valid certification in automotive repair or relevant technical training; ASE certification is highly desirable.
