Duties
- Assist with electrical systems installation, according to electrical blueprints and schematics
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify issues within complex electrical systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Follow electrical safety procedures and adhere to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to maintain a safe work environment
- Use testing instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics to diagnose electrical problems effectively
Requirements
- Prior experience or training in residential or commercial electrician work is highly desirable, but not required.
- Knowledge of electrical building codes, NEC standards, and NFPA 70 compliance requirements
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety procedures related to electrical work
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently
- Willingness to learn new skills such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and motor control equipment operation
