Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning and custodial tasks, with a focus on maintaining high standards of sanitation and facility upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and specialized floor care techniques to ensure a clean and safe surface
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed, including use of commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Assist with custodial responsibilities such as restocking supplies and maintaining cleaning inventory
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or repairs to ensure the facility remains in excellent condition
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or hazards
- Ensure restrooms, break rooms, and common areas are sanitized regularly and meet health standards
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or issues requiring professional repair
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, including commercial or industrial cleaning
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors
- Experience with residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies used in large-scale facilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Prior porter or maintenance experience is advantageous but not required
