The companies farming and packing operations manages 1,000 acres and packs fruit for another 60 growers throughout Florida and Georgia representing another 1,800 acres. The company also has an agritourism business that operates as Amber Brooke Farms located in Eustis, Florida and provides u-pick, special events, festivals, and private event activities for nearly 10,000 guests every year. We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team and support our operations.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to work in a fast-paced fruit packing house.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move goods around the facility.
- Responsible for loading and unloading materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Ensure that materials are organized and easily accessible.
- Regularly inspect forklift equipment to ensure it is safe and operational.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies regarding health and safety standards to minimize workplace hazards.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers to coordinate logistics and material movement.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid forklift operator training certificate, compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards.
- Previous experience in warehouses, packing plants, or similar environments is advantageous.
- Experience in handling fresh produce.
- Strong hand-eye coordination, ability to read and understand safety management documents, and effective communication skills.
